Meet Our Staff


Mrs. Christine Page – Director

Ms. Christine has been in the Virginia Hills Baptist Church community for over 20 years, including being the preschool’s director since 2010 and four years as the church/preschool administrative assistant.  Born and raised in Alexandria, she has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management/Finance from Virginia Tech, and recently earned her Early Childhood Education Certificate from Northern Virginia Community College.  Married to Eddie for 25 years, they have two adult sons.  Her “loves” include Christ, children and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Kim – Administrative Assistant
Also a native of northern Virginia, Ms. Kim, a graduate of Catholic University, joins us after working as a paralegal and litigation specialist in DC for 13 years.  She has co-oped for our school since 2012 and joined out staff in 2015.


0258Mr. Michael – Music & Movement Teacher

Mr. Michael was born and raised in Alexandria.  A graduate of Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Studies and a Minor in Dance, he couples this experience with a variety of experiences working with children.  He has choreographed and directed several children’s shows at Aldersgate Community Church Theatre and has taught summer camps at the Little Theater of Alexandria, as well as our very own Drama Camp here at Virginia Hills.  Mr. Michael loves to inspire children to a love for acting, music and dance.

0274Ms. Kelly – Floater
 Joining us in 2015 is a mom of a VHBCPS graduate, as well as having two children in our preschool.  Ms. Kelly is an all around support to our preschool during the day, but is also active as a sports and PTA mom.  Her passion for children is being renewed after having worked as a Real Estate Title Processor for 8 years.
Ms. Kim – Floater
A native Alexandrian, and graduate of Thomas A. Edison High School, Ms. Kim brings her experience in volunteering with children, care giving, and customer service to our preschool.  Her love of children and assisting them in their art projects, reading stories to them, and singing songs with them top her favorite interactions thus far.
Ms. Aubrey – Kitten Teacher
 Aubrey Davis graduated from Lynchburg College where she earned her BA in English Literature and Minor in Communications and was captain of the equestrian team. A Miami, Florida native, Aubrey began a career in Public Relations and Marketing for several years. Participating in the co-op program since 2011, Aubrey joined the VHBCP team as Music & Movement teacher in 2014. Married with three kids, Aubrey’s two oldest children are both VHBCP graduates, while her youngest is still attending. 
Ms. Joyce – Assistant Kitten Teacher
Ms. Joyce joined us for the 2017-18 school year.  Originally from the Philippines, she has lived in Florida, Arizona and now calls Virginia home.  She has two girls in elementary school.  In addition to a mid-wifery and neo natal care degree, she has experience in child care as a co-op mom here at VHBC Preschool and at her home church.  She loves to cook and share her culture.
Ms. Sofia – Puppy Teacher


Born and raised in South Africa, Ms. Sofia is in her third year as the Puppy Teacher.  This follows a 10 year career as an Au Pair.  For more than 20 years, she has been working with children from birth to age five.
Ms. Grace – Assistant Puppy Teacher

Graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in History.  I planed on teaching High School History but then I decided to stay home with my kids.  I’ve been married for 21 years, I have 4 kids, ages range from 19-10, 2 boys 2 girls.  Born and raised in Southern California, Army wife, thrilled to be in Virginia for a few years.  When all my children were in school I began missing my little adorable kids, so I worked for 1 year as an assistant teacher in the Baby room and Toddler room at a preschool in Tennessee.  When we moved here, I started subbing at VHBC Preschool last year and now I get to work full time in the baby room!! I could hold babies, play with toddlers and read stories all day long. 


Ms. Chris – Panda Teacher

For more than 30 years, Ms. Chris has been a part of the VHBC Preschool community.  She began her career in the co-op program, followed by assistant teacher, and ultimately becoming the Panda Class teacher, a position she has held for 25+ years.  Married for 40 years with three children and two grandchildren, Ms. Chris, a Pennsylvania native, enjoys cross stitching and walking.


  Ms. Casey – Panda Teacher

Ms. Casey returns to the Panda class after graduating her first child to the Frog class.  Her youngest returns with her this year as well as a Puppy.  She is a native Northern Virginian with an extensive family here in the area, is a Registered Nurse and intends to further her education this year.   While a wife of 5 years to husband Kevin, and mom to Kurt and Colton, she also squeezes in time for crochet, sewing and crafting.  

285Ms. Vicky – Teddybear Teacher

Ms. Vicky begins her third year as the lead teacher in the Teddy Bear Class.  She has been involved in VHBC Preschool for a number of years now, having children that have graduated from our preschool, and having a daughter also attend.  She has been a nanny for over 18 years which included working with children of all ages, and special needs.  She has a profound love and compassion for kids and is displayed in her enjoyment of not only nurturing and teaching them, but also to learn from and understand them.

0271Ms. Treva– Assistant Teddybear Teacher

Ms. Treva returns with us after having been a stay at home mom to 2 sons for 10 years.  Her background is in Social  Work from Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Master’s Degree.  She brings to the preschool community a wealth of knowledge from her experience for 10 years as a foster care social worker in Fairfax County.  Her loves are to read, exercise, and shop and adores working with children and is thankful to do that in a Christian environment.

265Ms. Cheryl – Frog Teacher

For over 30 years, Ms. Cheryl has been working with children.  She began her career at VHBC Preschool 18 years ago as an assistant teacher, and has been the lead teacher in the Frog Class since 2005.  Prior to our preschool, Ms. Cheryl was an in-home day care provider.  Originally from Michigan, Ms. Cheryl is married with two grown sons and a college aged daughter.  She enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.


0263Ms. Francesca– Assistant Frog Teacher

While Italy is home to Ms. Francesca, she has been in the United States for 20 years, but travels back each summer to visit family and friends.  Her degree is an Italian Education Degree, and is joining the education community again after being home raising her 3 children.  She enjoys the beach and long walks with her dog.  She is also enjoying new adventures with her children and husband.

281Ms. Christabell – Ladybug Teacher

Ms. Christabell is beginning her fifth year as a staff member, and third year as Lead Teacher.  Prior to joining VHBC Preschool, she taught at St. Joseph’s Convent School for nine years.  Ms. Christabell has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Advanced English from the University of Karachi.  She is married with two grown children.

291Ms. Sue – MWF Ladybug Teacher

Ms. Sue brings her wealth of experience of working with children having 4 grown sons, and 2 grandchildren, being involved with Scouts, PTA, swim and dive, and a variety of other activities for children and youth.  She was a faithful substitute for our preschool and is now in her third year in the Ladybug class.

270Ms. Diane – T/TH Assistant Ladybug Teacher

Ms. Diane has been involved in VHBC Preschool for 5 plus years, first as a parent, then a co-op and joined our staff in 2014.  She has been married for 12 years with 3 children, all of who graduated VHBC Preschool.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from University of Delaware.  When not at school, she volunteers at the St. Louis Catholic School and is actively involved in Cub Scouts, baseball, swimming, and coaching girl’s softball.

274Ms. Jenn – Owl Teacher

Ms. Jenn has been working with children ages 2-3 as a preschool teacher for nine years.  This is her fifth year with VHBC Preschool.  She has two children, ages 12 and 9.  She is certified in Early Education from Liberty University.  In her free time, she loves reading and photography.

Ms. Alison – Assistant Owl Teacher

Ms. Candice – Giraffe Teacher

 Ms. Candice joins our team this year.  She is a mom of two sons, one who is a VHBC Preschool graduate and one joins her.  She earned a Bachelors of Art Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Kutztown University.  She adds to our team a wealth of preschool experience as a teacher as well as assistant director.  Her hobbies include sewing and cooking.  


Ms. Irina – Assistant Giraffe Teacher

Ms. Irina joined the staff in 2016 after co-oping for a few years.  

0276Ms. Veronica – Dinosaur Teacher

 Ms. Veronica joined our team in 2015 and enjoys bringing her son to school with her as a student, and she has a daughter that is a recent graduate of our school.  Before coming to VHBC Preschool, her experience in education extends 13 years in Ecuador.  She holds her Master’s Degree in Special Education and is working on another program for International Teachers.  She loves being a part of learning processes for children and being a part of experiences they will remember.


268Ms. Ofa – Assistant Dinosaur Teacher

Ms. Ofa has taught children ages 1-5 years old as a preschool teacher for over ten years, including five years at VHBC Preschool.  She graduated from Beulah College with a teaching diploma.  Married with three children, Ms. Ofa loves participating in outdoor activities.

Ms. Carla – Monkey Teacher

We welcome Carla as a co-teacher in the Monkey Class.  She has been a VHBC member for 33 years and is currently serving as a deaconess and Sunday School teacher.  Raised in PA, she graduated from Shippensburg U. and moved to this area in 1973.  She was a Pre-K teacher here at VHBC from 1983-1992.  During that time her two sons went through the preschool.  As they moved on to elementary school, Carla did the same.  She was a first grade/Reading Recovery teacher at Rose Hill Elementary for 22 years, retiring in 2014.  Soon after, she returned to VHBC to do weekly Bible stories/songs with all the children.  Now she has made full circle, as she is excited to again be working with Pre-K children.  Carla has a deep love for children and is honored to guide and direct them in their learning about Christ and the world around them.

Ms. Kelly – Monkey Teacher
For more than 15 years, Ms. Kelly has been actively involved in education in our area.  As a parent volunteer at Clermont Elementary, she has been active in classroom activities.  She also served as the Secretary of the PTA for two of those years.  She comes with much experience with 3-5 year olds at Franconia Baptist Church Preschool, and is returning as an assistant for her third year.  

0255Ms. Komal – Penguin Teacher

Although she began her career as a flight attendant, Ms. Komal’s desire to work with children led her to a teaching career.  She has been with VHBC Preschool since 2007.  Married with two boys, ages 16 and 12, Ms. Komal earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1996 from Karachi/Pakistan.

Ms. Leilani– Assistant PenguinTeacher
Ms. Leilani joined our program as a staff member in 2016 after co-oping in our program for 4 years and serving as a nanny for 7 years.  Her post secondary studies were placed on hold to start her family, however, she plans to return for her early childhood certificate.  As a mom of 3, she is able to participate in her love of camping and fishing with her family.
Ms. Rachel – Butterfly Teacher
Ms. Rachel joins us this year and has much to offer our preschool.  She has previously taught for three years in Ecuador; even though she is a native of Ohio.  The daughter of a saw mill owner went on to college to minor in music and teaches voice lessons.  Her favorite subject to teach is science as she feels everyone is born an explorer.  




Ms. Erin– Assistant Butterfly Teacher
While a native Virginian, Erin has recently returned from Texas and Arkansas.  She is mom to 2 children.  Her family loves all of the outdoor activities to include camping, biking, and hiking, but is hoping now that she is back in Virginia-perhaps some sledding as well!


Ms. Sophie – Floater/Permanent Substitute
Ms. Sophie returns to us in January 2018 after a few years away. She is a 
DC area native growing up in Annandale as well as studied early
childhood development at NVCC.  She has 2 girls ages 5 and 2 and enjoys 
spinning yarn and knitting.
